MASVINGO – Three people, at least one of them thought to be a Finnish national, have died after their small plane crashed in the Tokwane area of Ngundu in Masvingo Province.
The Cessna 182 aircraft, said to be registered to Harare company, Executive Air, is thought to have been flying from Chiredzi when it crashed on Friday morning.
The plane came down on the Majereje Hills near Renco Mine, according to Masvingo’s Minister of State Ezra Chadzamira, who chairs the Provincial Civil Protection Unit.
Accident scene pictures showed that the plane broke apart on impact, with parts of the aircraft strewn around.
The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
